KiDS@Home for June 13

Hey Westside KiDS parents,

Welcome to Summer 2021! We are so excited about our KiDS Summer Experience. Sundays in June and July, our KiDS Grade School and KiDS Early Childhood will continue to build on the themes we are learning throughout KiDS Gig FX and Lil' Gig FX. They will experience new lessons that will reinforce the theme of having confidence in God. All summer our kiddos will learn that true confidence comes when they learn to see themselves the way God sees them! Who can trust God? I can trust God. So don't miss out on your chance to Press Play and Get in the Mix!

Check-in

We have an exciting new update that will allow you to receive a text message if you are needed during service. The next time that you check in your child, the system will prompt you to enter your cell phone number and cell phone carrier. Please provide the number that you would like to be contacted at in case of an emergency.

KiDS and Lil Gig FX:

Week 5 (June 28th) is our Family Fun Night. This is a night for the whole family to come out and experience the fun of KiDS Gig FX. We will start the fun in the Community Room. We will have food, inflatables, games, and best of all.....Mr. Joe in a dunk tank! So that all of our leaders and their families can participate, parents must attend with their kiddos. Come on out and join in on the fun!

KiDS Gig FX is in full swing. If you haven't signed up, there is still time! Are you ready to Press Play?! Online registration for this summer's KiDS GiG FX (Click here to register: https://wfclv.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/263/responses/new)! This year's KiDS GIg will look a little different than in years past. Join us every Tuesday night in June as we help your kiddos to Press Play on their faith and they learn who they are in Christ.

5th Grade Parents:

Our 5th-grade KiDS have started their journey of becoming a youth member! During the 9:30 service, our outgoing 5th graders will be sitting in on The Loft Middle School's large group time. You will drop your kiddo off as normal in the Landing. They will be escorted to the Loft by their small group leader to experience the Loft’s large group time. Our 5th graders will then rejoin KiDS in the Landing to finish service where you will pick them up as normal.

We truly believe that the faith of the next generation is worth everything. To make this happen, we need your help!  If you are interested in serving in the KiDS Ministry, please call,  EMAIL or fill out a CONNECT CARD so we can get you plugged in. Our contact information is

The Fall is FOR Your Family

The Fall is FOR Your Family

Watch Sunday's Teaching

Did you miss Sunday’s teaching? If so, please go back an watch it. This message was for those who are losing their trust in scripture, have lost their trust in scripture, or know someone who has lost their faith because of something that was said in or about the Bible.

July 4th Sunday

In light of the holiday weekend and the number of leaders required to make Sunday amazing, we will not have KiDS and Student services on July 4th. We want to thank all our leaders who serve so faithfully throughout the year and we look forward to being with you all together in our services.

Lead a Single's or Couple's group

This fall, our groups will focus on helping singles build stronger relationships and helping couples build stronger marriages. These groups will kick-off in September with a series called, "No Days Off: Parenting for the Win." For those of you who would like to lead a singles group or a couples group in your home or business, sign up for a Group Leader's meeting on June 27 or July 18.

KiDS@Home for May 23

Hey Westside KiDS parents,

Have your kiddos been jumping for joy because God’s way is perfect? Maybe they are getting ready to run the big race? We love seeing their excitement and growth each week.

Grade School:

You did it!! Our grade-schoolers have been hard at work on their Memory Verse Challenge. In fact, they have filled their challenge jar with marbles! Do you know what that means? PIE IN THE FACE! That’s right! This week we will be celebrating their crazy memorizing skills by pieing Mrs. Lori and Mr. Kayden in the face during the 9:30 and 11:00 am services. We are so very proud of our KIDS! A new Memory Verse Challenge begins this week!

5th Grade Parents:

This week, our 5th-grade KiDS will be starting their journey of becoming a youth member!

KiDS and Lil Gig FX:

The countdown to KiDS Gig FX has begun! 2 MORE WEEKS!!! Are you ready to Press Play?! Registration for this summer's KiDS GiG FX is now open (Click here to register: https://wfclv.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/263/responses/new)! This year's KiDS GIg will look a little different than in years past. Join us every Tuesday night in June as we help your kiddos to Press Play on their faith and they learn who they are in Christ.

We loved watching your kiddos jump, jump, jump, run into this month's themes! Each week the KiDS Team is striving to make church a place that is fun, safe, where your kiddos can know that they are seen and loved by us and God.

Our Early Childhood Little's theme for Jump, Jump! They will be jumping for joy and learning God's way is perfect. Who's way is perfect? God's way is perfect!

This month the Grade Schooler's theme is 5K: Run the Race. Growing in faith is not something that happens by merely cramming more information about the Bible into a child’s brain. All of that knowledge in their head means nothing if we don’t help kids experience what that knowledge can do in their hearts. To fully experience faith, we want kids to practice their faith. And that takes commitment.

We truly believe that the faith of the next generation is worth everything. To make this happen, we need your help!  If you are interested in serving in the KiDS Ministry, please call,  EMAIL or fill out a CONNECT CARD so we can get you plugged in. Our contact information is

Hey Westside KiDS parents,

Wow! Easter was amazing! We were so excited to see old and new friends alike. We just can't wait to see what the rest of this month has in store.

Just a reminder, we have some really great opportunities coming your way for your family to take their next step with Jesus.

  • Child dedication is a special time where parents dedicate themselves, their child, and their parenting efforts to God, so that when the child is old enough to understand, he or she, too, will choose to follow Jesus. The Child Dedication class will be held April 11th from 3 pm - 4 pm via Zoom and the Child Dedication services will be on April 25th at 8:15, 9:30, and 11 am.

  • If you have a child that is interested in baptism, please join us for a fun, interactive class that teaches the ABCs of following Jesus. The class is Sunday, April 11 during the 11 am service.

Our Early Childhood littles theme for April is Fly A Kite! They will be learning that Jesus’ love for each of us is so wide and long and high and deep that we can’t even measure it! Who wants to be my friend forever? Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

KiDS@Home for Easter

692cfe0f-bfe0-4c92-b604-34f386c56aab.jpg

Hey Westside KiDS parents,

Happy Easter Sunday! We are so excited to spend this special day with your family. We have exciting new themes and activities planned for our Westside KiDS!

As we enter into this month we have some exciting opportunities for your family.

This month the Grade Schoolers theme is Reconnect: Build A Bridge. When we make peace with others, it’s like we're building a bridge across to the other side. We can reconnect and prove we care more about each other than winning.

We truly believe that the faith of the next generation is worth everything. To make this happen, we need your help!  If you are interested in serving in the KiDS Ministry, please call,  EMAIL or fill out a CONNECT CARD so we can get you plugged in. Our contact information is

This week our Middle and High school service restarted and this Sunday will be full of energy as we restart our KiDS ministry.

Will you say "yes" to our KiDS and teens by serving in one of these two environments. We will equip you with everything you need so that all you need to do is just "show up." Let us know you are ready to invest in this next generation by filling out the form below.

Our leadership is praying for you and your families. We are praying that your hope is anchored in Jesus, that your hearts are encouraged, and that God continues to move in you and through you as you live on mission, loving jesus, becoming like Jesus, and sharing Jesus. Thank you for being on mission, together with us.

    • Take time to look through each “Wise Words” card, explaining what’s happening maybe even brainstorming ways they could be kind if it will help them later on.

  • Give each group a “Gameboard,” a deck of “Wise Words” cards, a die, and one token for each kid.

  • Direct your child to place their token at START and set the “Wise Words” cards face down.

  • Take turns rolling the die and moving the appropriate number of spaces. If someone lands on a heart, they draw a card from the “Wise Words” stack, look at it, and tell something kind they could say to the person in the scenario.

    • Be ready to re-explain the scenario and ask leading questions.

  • Play continues until everyone reaches FINISH.

NOTE: If a team uses all of its “Wise Words” cards before each player reaches FINISH, have them shuffle the cards and use them again.

What You Say:

“Our verse tells us that when we can be trusted with something little, then we can also be trusted with something large. One small way that we can show responsibility is by using our words wisely. What are some words that are wise to use? (Thank you, I love you, please, great job, are you okay) Great ideas! Every day we can choose the words we say. God wants us to choose words that will build up and help the people around us. So remember to [Bottom Line] use your words wisely.”

Verses to Take with You

What You Need:

Bibles, ketchup, baking soda, tray, spoon, foam cup or container

What You Do:

  • Read Luke 16:10a.

  • Ask:

    • What are some small responsibilities you are trusted with?

    • What does being responsible in little ways show others?

    • Give an example of a way you or someone you know was trusted with a small responsibility that grew into a bigger, more important one because you did well with it.

  • Point out that Luke 16:10 shows us that responsibility is related to trust. When we show we are responsible or trustworthy, we can be trusted with more.

  • Follow the steps below to create a Ketchup Volcano.

    1. Fill an 8-ounce cup or container about half full with ketchup.

    2. Read the first half of Luke 16:10a. (“Suppose you can be trusted with something very little.”)

    3. Suggest that the ketchup represents our life.

    4. Read the rest of Luke 16:10a. (“Then you can also be trusted with something very large.)

    5. Stir 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda into the ketchup.

    6. Suggest that the baking soda represents the way God can use even the smallest gift in us to do great things.

Note: The baking soda will immediately begin to react with the vinegar in the ketchup by foaming and overflowing the container. It’s not at all explosive or fast, but it can be messy,’ so be sure to work on a washable surface.

  • Discuss the reactions to the experiment.

    • What did we need to do in order for the ketchup to “grow” into something bigger?

    • What do we need to do in order for God to use the gifts He has given us?

    • How can you go about discovering your gifts and strengths?

  • Based on what you know about your few, suggest some ways your child can develop talents and use what they have been given for God.

  • Remind your child that if they can be trusted with what’s expected of them this week, even if it’s a small task and it seems unimportant, they might find their responsibilities growing into bigger, more exciting ways to use what they’ve been given by God for His purposes.
