We believe that your time at Fort Leavenworth is not just a time to equip you and your family for the military mission you have, but for the Kingdom mission we share together.

We know your time may be limited with us and we want to do our best to equip you and send you off when you PCS.

We have military families all over the world who are living on mission with us and we want to invite you to be one of those Military on Mission families.

What is Our Vision for Military on Mission?

We want to send out military families living on this mission of loving Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and sharing Jesus wherever they are sent. We see Fort Leavenworth as a Kingdom catapult, launching Jesus followers all around the world. We believe God is sending you wherever you go with a kingdom purpose.

We want to empower you to live out the calling God has given you by partnering with you as long as you will allow. Here is what that means:

1. Live out this mission of loving Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and sharing Jesus wherever you go to BLESS others.

2. Be a point of contact wherever you are stationed.

3. Allow us to support you however we can for as long as you allow.

On Mission to B.L.E.S.S.

Living on mission means embracing and embodying what it means to follow Jesus by loving Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and sharing Jesus wherever you are sent.

While being a part of Westside, we hope you have discovered the joy and fulfillment in this life-giving calling to follow Jesus by living out this mission.

 One of the best ways we’ve learned to share Jesus is to engage in B.L.E.S.S. wherever we live.

• Begin with prayer by asking God, “In whose life are you already working, and how can I join you?”

• Listen to the people around you and for how God is working in them.

• Eat together There is something spiritually powerful when you share a meal or drink with someone.

• Serve them As you engage in BLESS, you will discover an opportunity in which you can serve them.

• Share your Jesus story Your story about trusting in Jesus is powerful. Sharing it with others unlocks the opportunity to also share Jesus’ story with them.

 Be a point of contact wherever you are stationed.  

As you continue in your military career, we would like to connect you with people who are moving from Westside into your area.  We know there are many questions you have about the area to which you are moving. It's great if you have someone you trust to whom you can ask those questions. You can be that for others coming into your area by being a point of contact.

If you can’t find a local church to attend, we would love to provide you with resources that give you the ability to be the Church @home, where you will be able to gather with a community of people in your home and stream our services.

You can do this every Sunday by visiting online.westsideleavenworth.com during our 9:30am & 11:00am services.  We would love to share resources that would support the Sunday teachings, like notes, group curriculum, and more.

Allow us to support you in whatever ways we can for as long as you desire.

We want to stay connected with you as long as you will allow and make sure you are supported for this journey to which God has called you. This could mean:

• Praying for you on specific needs.

• Providing you with resources to grow in your relationship with Jesus and equipping you to lead others in their relationship with Jesus.  We have a resource called "Right Now Media" that is a video library of the best discipleship materials around.  We'd love to give you access to this. Email us and we will get you this resource.

• Connecting you with other Military families and churches as you continue in your military career.
