Life is a struggle. For most of us, when life seems to fight against us, there is a person on the other side of the struggle. We then think the person is what, or who we are fighting against. The Apostle Paul tells us we have a stranger struggle, but we find hope in knowing we can stand.
Jesus redefines how our relationships should look. They are stranger than the way we want them to be. Our response to Jesus is to respond to others by thinking about them like Jesus.
Salvation is not based on our work and there is no standard, other than trusting in Jesus, that saves us. But our response to Jesus is that we live to a higher, and stranger standard.
What is God's purpose for you? What's His plan for your life? Ever ask those questions? We ask that about our occupation, about who we should marry, about what we should do. The Apostle Paul gives us insight into how we can discover that plan and purpose so we can be fulfilled in life.
What happens when we put our trust in Jesus? It is a stranger and powerful thing. God himself does something to us and what He gives us is life changing.
Things are stranger than they appear. The life we experience in Jesus comes in a strange way. And it makes us strangely alive.
